Pivot Arm Awnings
The S2000 Pivot Arm Awning is a projection window awning. The arms are stretched by the spring system to almost 180° giving stability in windy conditions.
Being constructed quality components and is available with or without a hood. The single unit can be up to 4.2 metres wide. Generally the projection is half the drop (height) of a pivot arm awning.
When trying to shade larger openings or installations with a greater exposure to wind ask us about the Heavy Duty Robusta, with available widths over 5 metres wide there is a pivot arm awning for most situations.
Pivot arm awnings are ideal for those areas where greater ventilation is required, it is in these situations that the pivot arm awning is more practical that its straight drop cousins.
Pivot arm systems can be operated manually by a crank handle or rope and pully for eternal control applications. In side the home a cord or internal winch box can be used for a remote manual application or they can be motorised with optional sun, wind sensors and timer systems.
Automatic Awnings
The S2000 Automatic awning is a close fitting Top Roll awning with electroplated steel guides and arms. The arms range from 150mm to 900mm which allows for adequate ventilation into open windows and doorways thus preventing heat being trapped between the awning and the home.
An automatic awning is manually operated only and is better suited to single story homes although it can be operated with the use of a pull stick to reach those slightly higher applications.
Straight Drop Awnings
The straight drop awning or outdoor blind, simple yet classic, have been used in Australian homes for many decades. Their basic design requires an anchor point at the bottom of the blind quite often the handrail of a balcony or patio however for a full drop there are also saddles and deck fittings. In some installations more than 1 anchor point is provided so one is able to achieve a pitch (one anchor point set forward of the other) or various heights.
Normally these blinds are not motorized as the mechanical anchor point needs to be manually released. Usually controlled with a crank or a rope and pully.
